1. Are dogs allowed?
- Yes, pets are permitted in our parks and on park trails on a 6' leash and under control at all times.
- Pets are NOT allowed on beaches or in facilities (pavilions, buildings, restrooms).
- Pet owners must clean up after their pets and dispose in a trash bin.

2. Is fishing permitted?
- Yes, at Pine Knob Park on Meteer Lake and Duff Lake.
- An Indiana fishing license is required. All county and state laws apply.
- Fishing is not allowed on any park beach or swimming dock.

3. Is hunting permitted?
- No. Hunting is not permitted on any county park property.

4. Can we pick mushrooms?
- Yes. You may pick mushrooms, nuts, and berries for personal use.
- Picking flowers and removing plants or trees is not permitted.

5. Is alcohol permitted?
- No. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in park facilities or any county park property.

7. Is maple syrup for sale all year?
- Maple syrup is sold after Maple Syrup Days, while supplies last.

8. When is the Archery Course open at Pine Knob Park?
- Targets are set in mid-April and removed in early November, depending on the weather.
- The course may be used during open park hours.

9. When is the Maple Syrup Days festival?
- The third full weekend in March.

10. Is there a lifeguard on duty at the Public Beaches?
- NO. Swim at your own risk.
- All children must be accompanied by an adult.

11. Are there any fees to use the parks?
- Dallas Lake Park Beach has a beach use fee: $1 per person per day. This funds swim dock repairs.
- The Archery Course has a $5 per-user daily fee. This provides funds for target replacement.
- Both fees are collected on the honor system.
